December, January (More Or Less)

Listening to:
Motion City Soundtrack
My Dinosaur Life

-Blocked two shots clean on two consecutive possessions and got called for fouls on both of them. I promptly turned American and slammed the ball into the ground on the second one. I guess the referee got the message because I didn't get whistled for the rest of the game. Probably would have (and should have) been the first person to get called for a technical in the tournament's history.

-I bought a velvet skull. I suppose it makes about as much sense as the Frieza chair that I bought for my iPod.

-Some of these junior high students walk around the hallways pretending that they're ambulances. It's a little bit troubling. I stopped pretending that I was the Ghostbusters car when I was 5.

-I got through the weekend eating nothing but pizza and fried chicken. I may possibly die soon.

-You know how some cars have fuzzy dice hanging from their rear view mirrors? I saw a car with toddler size Jordan XIIIs hanging from its mirror. That's actually a pretty damn cool idea.

-I think I'm close to done buying stuff for the pad. If anything, I might purchase a heater to get me through January and February. Of course, I say that I'm through now, but I know that dart boards and lava lamps are coming.

-Discovered the wondrous establishment that is a Japanese internet cafe. You basically sit in a darkened cubicle and fuck around on the internet or read comics. Sort of like my old job, only with free soda and popcorn.

-Really considering getting a cat, I just don't want it to become a maniac who messes up my AV cables and pisses all over my shoes. Maybe a guinea pig is a better idea.

-I toy with the idea of buying a 2-foot Christmas tree, but the prospect of having a 2-foot Christmas tree is almost more depressing than having no Christmas tree. Maybe next year.

-Too busy to play Final Fantasy XIII and it's killing me.

-Worked on Christmas Day. Really weird, but I guess there's a first time for everything. I decided that it would be cool to be merry and all that good stuff, so I went to class dressed as Santa Claus. The third graders went absolutely bonkers. The second graders went absolutely silent. Guess you can't win 'em all.

-Good to finally see one of the boys after so long. J gets to talking about Burger King, and the word "angus" just makes me chuckle. Not sure why. I guess it's just that I haven't heard or used that particular word in 365 days or so.

-We all went to a shrine on New Years Day to pray and get fortunes and such. I'd never seen that many men with perms in my life. Kind of disturbing.

-Wait, so Sheamus is really WWE champ?

-Caved and rented Twilight because Tsutaya has 100 yen rentals going until the end of March. I don't usually doze off during movies, but I'm sleeping a half an hour into this one. My girlfriend stays up, but she isn't particularly impressed with the film, which may or may not make her the only female on the entire planet who isn't impressed with Twilight.

-Went for a run in the cold and my ears sort of felt like they were going to explode. Think I'm done running for a few months.

-The male teachers from school have a man-party of sorts to ring in the new year. I'd explain in detail, but there really isn't much to it. We get together and drink a several thousand beers and dine on raw horse meat.

-Didn't stop to consider that Avatar would likely be dubbed because subtitles would be pretty weird in conjunction with 3D. Oh well. Sigourney Weaver speaking in Japanese sounds exactly like how I always imagined Sigourney Weaver speaking in Japanese would. The movie itself was pretty awesome.

-I'm leaving a department store when a little girl that I've never seen before, probably about 3 or 4 years old, comes up to me from behind and punches me in the ass. She simply waves when I look over at her. This would have seemed really weird to me a year ago, but nowadays? Not so much. I wave back and we go our separate ways.

Steve Nash HDL

I was digging the Hyperdunk Low to begin with, but this Nash makeup really puts the shoe over the top.

They shall be mine.
